Our Team

Adriana Becerra

Founder & Lead Instructor

Adriana Becerra is a classically trained Pilates instructor with over a decade of experience helping clients reconnect with their bodies through intelligent, personalized movement. She completed her comprehensive certification through the prestigious Equinox Pilates Institute in 2013, where she was taught by master teacher Carrie Macy Samper.

Adriana specializes in post-physical therapy care, injury-sensitive sessions, and tailored programs for prenatal, postpartum, and senior populations. She’s worked with clients managing fibromyalgia, migraines, diastasis recti, hip replacements, shoulder instability, back issues, and even children with autism. Her work is especially effective in helping clients with tight lower backs move more freely and with less pain. Her approach blends classical Pilates precision with empathy, adaptability, and deep listening.

She works with all levels—from true beginners to high-level athletes—helping each client build body awareness, prevent injury, and improve overall performance in their sport or daily life.

Having struggled with her own injuries—including hip labral tears, shoulder impingement, and chondromalacia patella in her right knee—Adriana knows what it means to move through pain and come out stronger. She also contends with a particularly sensitive right sartorius muscle—a little overachiever that likes to act up uninvited. It’s unpredictable, moody, and unforgettable—showing up when she didn’t ask, and never quietly. But over time, she’s learned to manage its attitude with movement, humor, and a whole lot of patience (plus a few colorful words when necessary). Living with it has made her more intuitive, compassionate, and precise—especially when working with clients navigating their own stubborn discomforts.

Her lived experience brings authenticity to her teaching. She also brings an unexpected edge to her work: as an adult, she trained in boxing with the discipline and intensity of a professional—not for competition, but for the love of the sport and the confidence it instilled. Her time in the ring taught her power, precision, and presence—qualities she brings to every session.

At & Pilates, Adriana has created a space rooted in classical technique, modern understanding, and a deep respect for each client’s journey. She believes in movement as medicine, and that healing doesn’t end when pain stops—it evolves into strength that lasts a lifetime.

Outside the studio, Adriana is also a certified hypnotherapist who has helped clients lose weight, quit smoking, process breakups and divorces, support children through emotional challenges, and even explore past lives—but that’s a different website.

She’s also a passionate animal rescuer with a private cat rescue of over 20 beloved cats (plus two lucky dogs). When she’s not teaching, you’ll find her bottle-feeding kittens, rescuing squirrels, or taking continuing education courses to deepen her skills and keep evolving—for her clients and for herself.
